My name is Rick Olswanger. I was in the Ulphan at Nir David from November, 1976 to April, 1977. My teacher was Rachael, and I was also friendly with her husband, Azzie and Hadassah, the head of the Ulphan program. I have many wonderful memories of the time that I spent at Nir David. My family and I will be visiting Israel this December, and we would very much like to visit Nir David. We will be in the area on Wednesday, December 22. Would it be possible for us to have lunch at the kibbutz and perhaps have a tour? There are 6 of us traveling, myself, my wife, our 2 daughters, ages 15 and 13, and our 2 nephews, ages 16 and 13. Hi. I was there in 1990 to 1992 and was one of the two volunteers that stayed during the gulf war and also helped run the volunteer bar with the two Ian's from England. A big hello to anyone who remembers me and feel free to email me to say hi back . I had a great two years working in the kitchen stores and later managing the irrigation of all those fruit trees. When I left I worked on a moshav for three years then finally settled down in England where I still am now. So if you are visiting Oxford sometime and you remember me, then give me a call.
